OATMEAL WITH APPLES, CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND ALMOND GINGER BUTTER

INGREDIENTS

Oatmeal

  • 2/3 cup of rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup of water
  • 2/3 cup of cashew milk
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

Toppings

  • Almond ginger butter
  • 1 diced apple with the skin on
  • Chocolate chips
  • Jam
  • Roasted buckwheat

 

PREPARATION
  1. Combine oats, water, cashew milk and cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, and then reduce heat to low and add half of the apples. Stir well.
  2. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally to prevent from sticking.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Divide equally between two bowls. Add the toppings and serve.

 

NOTES
  • For extra creaminess, replace water with any milk of your choice.
