SOURCING

It all starts with sourcing. It can take months before finding the right producer to work with. To that end, we take pride in partnering with like-minded producers who grow their food in a sustainable way.

RECIPE DEVELOPMENT

When it comes to recipe development, nothing is left to chance. Each recipe must have a perfect balance of roastiness, sweetness and saltiness. The texture is studied inside-out until we get it just right. At the end of the day we’re just as much about deliciousness as we are about nutritiousness. And that’s a promise we jar every day, in every variety and every flavour. 

ROASTING
Roasting is a crucial step in the development of flavours. For each type of nut, we test different roasting combinations until we find the optimal one, that is, where the aromas of the nuts are at their best. Why go through so much trouble when many roasted varieties are available on the market? Because roasting the nuts ourselves (rather than buying them pre-roasted) leads to a superior taste. Once a pre-roasted nut is exposed to air, the taste slowly starts fading. By roasting the nuts in-house, not only can we guarantee a better tasting product, but also a fresher one.
GRINDING – FILLING - LABELLING
Once the nuts are roasted, we immediately grind them into butters to capture the full potential of their aromas. The jars and then filled and labelled at our facility.
